Hello and thank you for visiting my website.

My name is Melanie Giles and I have been working in the insolvency profession for over 25 years and am a Licensed Insolvency Practitioner and the Managing Director of the IVA Advice Company Limited.

Along with my team of 30 plus staff, in England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland, we specialise in the presentation and management of Individual Voluntary Arrangements (“IVAs”). Through my experience as an Insolvency Practitioner, and being in regular contact with the IVA community, I have gained personal insight into the problems and concerns of the everyday consumer in struggling to manage unaffordable debt. This is why I wanted to personally introduce myself and the phone number you see on the website is a direct line to me and the team.

If you would like me to assess your case to see whether an IVA would be a suitable solution, I will not give you false promises of how much debt you can write off or that you will be debt free within a certain timescale. It is true that Individual Voluntary Arrangements can be a great way of managing your way out of a debt problem, but you have to be aware that if the IVA fails for any reason then creditors are likely to start pursuing you again or your could end up being made bankrupt. Neither will your credit rating improve in the short-term, and creditors may continue to contact you, although they cannot legally enforce their debts if there is a binding IVA in place.

This is why it is so important to firstly make sure that an IVA is the right solution for you in the short and long term, and is sustainable and affordable. All of our clients are treated as individuals, and assessments are always carried out by our Licensed Insolvency Practitioners before we proceed to work on behalf of our clients. Please feel free to look further into the website, where I hope you will find more information about IVAs and other debt solutions to help you think carefully about your options. You can also interact with me directly on www.iva.co.uk, where I try to post a few times a day giving advice to others in need and also sharing my industry knowledge with other debt professionals.

Call Melanie Giles on 02920 277678 or please fill in an IVA Enquiry Form.

IVA Key Facts

If you start an IVA then fees will apply. Click Here for further details about IVA fees and the work that is conducted by IVA companies. Your ability to obtain further credit will be affected by an IVA. Other sources of debt advice do exist. Calls to our 02920 277678 will be charged at the normal rate - calls from mobiles will depend on your personal tariff. We are happy to call you back if you request us to do so. The Insolvency Service produces a guide to personal debt solutions which explains the various debt solution options. You can read it here: In Debt? Dealing With Your Creditors. Warning if your IVA fails: As a significant amount of your payments into an IVA are taken first to meet your Insolvency Practitioner’s fees, if your IVA fails you will remain liable for the balance of your debt and any Insolvency Practitioner fees and costs already incurred.
